Electrical inspectors are approved in each municipality
they serve, so it’s important to make sure that are able to work in the area where you need them. For instance, an inspector
approved in Mamakating may not be approved in Thompson. Ask the inspector if he or she is legally able to perform inspections
in your area before hiring. If in doubt, contact your local village, city, or town clerk, or the building department that
oversees your area and they will provide you with a list of approved inspectors.
