questions dealing with the National Electrical Code, broken down by section. Any answers provided here merely represent the opinion of our master electricians;
they are not necessarily the opinion of the NFPA (writers of the Code). It is
intended as an informal guide only. Any questions concerning an ongoing project
should be referred to your building inspector or other Authority Having Jurisdiction, as this
person legally has the final say over any Code question in your community.

by a reference to the section of the Code that was referenced for the answer, as well as which version of the Code was used.
